Made by Roiva's own report code from a fictional account, and regenerated whenever the reports change.

Illustrative sample · Calder & Voss is a fictional company · Not customer results. These are the reports a finance team downloads from ROI → Reports, for Calder & Voss Building Supply, a building-supply distributor Roiva invented to show its output. ROI → Reports offers the register as Excel only, so the CSV beside it is the register's rows in the columns the Export button on Entries → Value Entries gives. They're here so you can judge what Roiva hands a CFO rather than how Roiva describes it.

Nothing in them was typed into a template. The company's people, costs, metric readings and assumptions were written through the same steps a customer's go through: library formulas calculated each month, a Zendesk connection booked the tickets its AI agent resolved, and the Controller approved each month's entries. The product's own report code then produced every file. The numbers are made up; the arithmetic, the rules and the layout are Roiva's.

The files

They cover Fiscal Q2 2026 (June – August 2026), on a fiscal year that starts in March, as prepared on September 10, 2026.

Reading a figure's trail

Every row of the register answers four questions, and the tables at the end of this page follow one figure of each kind through them: calculated, synced, and realized as cash.

  1. Which arithmetic? Formula and Formula version name the calculation the entry was computed with. A formula that changes later gets a new version; this entry keeps the one it used. The formula library prints each one's arithmetic.
  2. From which numbers? Inputs is the snapshot taken when the entry was calculated: each reading, before-value and assumption, with where it came from. Inputs summary says the same in words. Change a reading next month and this entry still shows what it used.
  3. From which records? A figure booked by a connection names its Source system and Source ref, and its inputs keep the rule it applied, the price per record, the records' ids, and the records it left out because the customer came back. The support initiative's tickets are booked this way; see How deflection value is booked.
  4. Who signed it off? Approved by and Approved at name the person and the time. Only approved entries reach any report, and Self-approved marks an entry approved by whoever recorded it.

What makes a figure auditable explains why each of those is kept, and Board Brief and reports covers every report and what it counts.

What the sample doesn't show

Calder & Voss's costs come from its books by hand rather than from connected AI providers, so the brief reports no provider-billed spend. Its value entries carry no confidence score, so that column reads "—". Still waiting for the Controller, and so in none of the files: 1 entry worth $14,899.28.

Where the figures agree

The three reports, held to each other to the cent. The generator checks each line before it writes the files. Cash and freed capacity are reported side by side and never added: net cash value and ROI are cash only, with freed capacity beside them. Freed capacity a person showed became cash counts once, as cash: it is netted out of the capacity it came from.
